Freedom of speech — does it even exist?

Any ban on anyone’s statements (online or in real life) starts a discussion about freedom of speech.

But what is really — a freedom of speech?

I think that there are types of freedom — perfect one and and real one.

Perfect freedom of speech — when all people behave like adults, are conscious, contemplating, adequate, and respect other people, while expressing their views, without insults or humiliation of those who think differently.

That sounds great. Really great.

It sound though like a unbelievable situation for this particular civilization, is it not?

It may get better when reptiloids finally conquer us or Bill Gates puts his hideous chips inside our heads … who knows?

The Real freedom of speech is like being at an eastern bazaar where every seller (person) is trying real hard to sell his goods (promote his opinion) and sell (be heard).

Who is best heard at the bazaar? The person who screams the loudest. If there are a lot of people shouting, then the one who does it loud and in an unusual way. But when a person shouts, he cannot think. Either you think or you scream. Is it possible to maintain adequate thinking, be reasonable and aware without … thinking? As for me — I can’t do that. You?

And when you shout, you don’t hear others, and you don’t want to listen — because the most important thing is to make people hear You. And what others say is not that important really.

Therefore, real freedom of speech is typically expressed in shouting over other people with a thinking process turned ofg in while doing that. Sooner or later, some of the shouting people will switch to denigrating their opponents, and sometimes to a real combat.

BLM protests and the recent storming of the Capitol are just two examples of this. In a Russian history there are plenty of these examples also.

And most of the calls for ′′freedom of speech′′ actually mean ′′let us say what we want to say, but “they” should be silent “. And I’m sure that almost everyone who speaks for freedom of speech has his own black list of those who he doesn’t really want to hear from. In my personal black list there are voices of open pedophiles and people calling for genocide, for example.

I think that freedom of speech (in its perfect form) never existed and does not exist now, because homo sapiens is not too bright to do it the right (ideal) way.

And since it’s nonexistent, any prohibitions, bans and restrictions are just attempts to make the ′′bazaar′′ more manageable and understandable for its owners / visitors / sellers. And if it’s not about freedom of speech, then it’s about ensuring the safety of the environment, isn’t it?

What do you think?
